Problem Description:
In the Cartularius Document Management app on Salesforce, the "Key-field" in File Details is currently editable by users. This represents unintended functionality as this field should be read-only and not modifiable by end users.
Symptoms:
- The "Key-field" appears as an editable field in the File Details view.
- Users can input, modify, or delete information in this field.
- Changes to this field are saved when the record is updated.
- There are no system restrictions preventing modification of this critical field.
Temporary Solution:
Until a permanent solution is implemented, we recommend the following measures:
- Inform all users to refrain from modifying the "Key-field" even though it appears editable.
- Consider implementing administrative training to highlight this issue.
- If possible, audit recent document changes to identify any instances where the "Key-field" may have been inappropriately modified.
Impact:
Unintended modifications to the "Key-field" may result in:
- Data integrity issues
- Difficulty in locating or referencing affected documents
- Potential system inconsistencies in document identification and processing
- Complications in workflows that rely on this key information
Status:
Our development team is aware of this permission issue and is working on a configuration update to make the "Key-field" read-only as intended. This fix will be included in an upcoming release of the Cartularius Document Management app.
