Problem Description:

In the Cartularius Document Management app on Salesforce, the "Key-field" in File Details is currently editable by users. This represents unintended functionality as this field should be read-only and not modifiable by end users.

Symptoms:

• The "Key-field" appears as an editable field in the File Details view.
• Users can input, modify, or delete information in this field.
• Changes to this field are saved when the record is updated.
• There are no system restrictions preventing modification of this critical field.

Temporary Solution:

On versions older than 3.48, we recommend the following measures:

1. Inform all users to refrain from modifying the "Key-field" even though it appears editable.
2. Consider implementing administrative training to highlight this issue.
3. If possible, audit recent document changes to identify any instances where the "Key-field" may have been inappropriately modified.

Impact:

Unintended modifications to the "Key-field" may result in:

• Data integrity issues
• Difficulty in locating or referencing affected documents
• Potential system inconsistencies in document identification and processing
• Complications in workflows that rely on this key information

Status:

This issue has been resolved. The "Key-field" is read-only as intended since Cartularius Document Management version 3.48, released on 5 December 2025. Update to version 3.48 or later; the measures below are only needed on older versions.

• This issue affects all user permission levels with access to File Details.
• Any modifications made to the "Key-field" prior to the fix may need to be reviewed and potentially corrected once the issue is resolved.
• System administrators should consider monitoring activity on critical files until the fix is deployed.
